What is Hairfall?

Hairfall, or Khalitya in Ayurveda, refers to excessive shedding or thinning of hair due to weak roots, poor nutrition, or scalp imbalance. According to Ayurveda, hair health depends on the strength of Rakta Dhatu (blood) and Asthi Dhatu (bone tissue). Imbalances in Vata, Pitta, or Kapha doshas, combined with stress, poor diet, and lifestyle, lead to hair fall, premature greying, or baldness.
